Matt Steadman’s studio pottery was the subject of a 2008 solo exhibition at the Mary C. O’Keefe Cultural Center (Ocean Springs, MS), where this piece was purchased. (See the postcard, which is included.) Prior to that, he had operated a small studio called Marsh End Pottery–and for a time was a guest artist at Shearwater. Today, he is the gallery director at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.
